Metal Fences

Metal fences offer a blend of strength, security, and aesthetic appeal, making them a popular choice for both residential and commercial properties. Known for their durability, metal fences can withstand harsh weather conditions and require minimal maintenance.

Welding vs. Bolting

When deciding between welding and bolting a fence together, several factors come into play. Bolting is less costly to install due to its faster assembly process, making it a budget-friendly option. Additionally, bolting is less stressful on the metal, helping to prevent rusting and prolong the fence’s lifespan. Welding is also ideal for achieving a seamless appearance without visible bolts, which can enhance the aesthetic appeal of the fence. Both methods have their advantages, and the choice depends on specific needs and preferences.

A Note About Warranties

There are primarily two warranties available for metal fences – a 10-year limited manufacturer warranty and a limited mfg lifetime warranty. Both have their pros and cons, but one major difference is that the material costs associated with a lifetime warranty are typically twice as much as the 10-year warranty. Be sure to keep this information in mind when selecting which type of warranty you would like to add to your metal fence. Also, the warranties usually don’t cover rust associated from sprinklers or standing water around the fence, septic  sprinklers overspray, or using weed-killer herbicides which contribute to premature deterioration.
